Skee Goedhart

Skee Goedhart was born in Paris, raised in London, and moved to the US in 1982 where he began working as an artist. From early on Skee's work reflected an intense fascination with the subconscious and the use of trance states. Over the years he began to see a tremendous potential for using art as a therapeutic tool, allowing people to work through emotions in ways that went beyond language. Along with painting he explored other non-traditional therapeutic approaches including meditation, breathwork, Tai Chi, Qigong, shamanic dream imagery and the native American practices of sweat lodge and vision quest. He earned a masters degree specializing in the History of Religion and began to integrate aspects of religion, mythology, ritual and shamanism in both his life and healing practice.
