Based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, this class focuses on specific alignment and the use of props to support all body types and challenges. With an emphasis on study and learning, poses are explored in depth and class is sometimes paused to demonstrate a specific element of the practice. A more traditional practice, this style is practiced without music and rewards the practitioner with a deeper understanding of the roots of yoga and integrates the mind, body, and emotions.
